Recharge MedSpa & Wellness Clinic provides medical cannabis evaluations for eligible Texas patients participating in the Compassionate Use Program (CUP). If you have a qualifying condition and traditional therapies haven’t provided sufficient symptom relief, you may be a candidate for this program.
Who This Is For
This consultation is designed for patients seeking medical guidance to achieve symptom relief and enhance their quality of life when appropriate under Texas law.
At Recharge MedSpa & Wellness Clinic, we approach medical cannabis with clinical integrity rather than convenience. It is not a trend, nor is it recreational medicine; instead, it serves as a therapeutic option — when medically appropriate and legally indicated. As a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician, Dr. Joyce M. Jackson conducts thorough medical cannabis evaluations for each patient, carefully considering their diagnosis, treatment history, risks, and overall health before making any recommendations. We strictly adhere to the standards set forth by the Texas Compassionate Use Program, ensuring compliance and structured follow-up. It's important to note that not everyone qualifies, and not every condition requires cannabis for effective symptom relief. Our role is to determine the most appropriate course of action — safely, ethically, and responsibly. Physician-led. Evidence-informed. Patient-centered.
We offer medical cannabis evaluations for patients who may qualify under Texas law for the Compassionate Use Program, including those with: PTSD, cancer, epilepsy and seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis (MS), autism spectrum disorder, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), spasticity and movement disorders, neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia, terminal illness, incurable neurodegenerative diseases, and chronic pain (when it meets Texas program criteria and clinical documentation supports eligibility).
Not sure if you qualify? Book a consultation, and we’ll review your history and help you understand your options for symptom relief.

During your visit for medical cannabis evaluations, we will: review your medical history and current symptoms, discuss prior treatments and your response, determine whether you meet the Texas eligibility criteria for the Compassionate Use Program, complete the necessary steps for the program if appropriate, and provide a personalized care plan along with follow-up guidance for symptom relief.
What to Bring
To help us evaluate your condition quickly, please have:
- A list of current medications
- Prior diagnoses (or documentation if available)
- Recent notes, imaging, or lab results
Important Consultation Policy
Medical cannabis evaluations are comprehensive medical visits. If, during your evaluation, we determine that additional labs, imaging, or medical records are necessary to safely assess your eligibility for the Compassionate Use Program, these tests may be ordered at the physician’s discretion. Please note that any additional testing or diagnostics will be the financial responsibility of the patient.
To avoid delays in your evaluation, patients must bring all relevant supporting documentation at the time of consultation, including:
- Prior diagnoses
- Imaging reports
- Specialist notes
- Medication history
- Hospital discharge summaries (if applicable)
Incomplete documentation may require rescheduling or additional testing before a determination can be made. Our priority is to ensure safe, thorough, and compliant care.
